Hey Phil, Kitch40 here, Do you have any photos of the turf agae filter you have built? I am thinking of building one but am unsure of where to position it. it seems above the tank might be best. I wondered where you are putting yours? Thanks , Marc

  7. I have the scrubber finished, but am working on a new shelf to go above it that the lights will hang from. I should have it up and running by the weekend. Watch for a new blog detailing construction, installation and results.

Temptation...

The local Petco is having their $1/gal tank sale right now. And they have litterally stacks and stacks of 40 breeders. I don't have any tank plans right now, except to upgrade my 55 to a 75 eventually. But those 40's are a nice size and shape for a nano project. Hmmmm...

It's another year. So I'll start with a full tank shot.

Compare it with this shot from last september. Check out the growth on the Acro branch just right of center.

New Coral

My friend and fellow reefer Tuan asked me a while back if I wanted any frags. Well, he's got a gorgeous touquoise staghorn acro that I just couldn't resist. Today he dropped it off. Seems he had a bit of trouble cutting the frag though. What he brought was a branch over 6" long! here's a photo of the tip.
