LED strips

by Psalm104:24-25 on 06-24-2012 at 02:16 PM
Looking to buy some ecoxotic LED stunner strips. Anybody have any suggestions or recommendations on which of the four colors to get? my tank already has 150w metal hallides (20K) and some actinic t5's. The corals are growing but my corals still aren't just 'popping' out at me....

thanks for any help

Need Feeding and Coral Input

by Psalm104:24-25 on 08-20-2011 at 12:48 AM
One of these days I'm going to go all out and post pictures and videos of my tank, but today is not that day I have a few random questions to ask and would appreciate any accurate input. Unfortunately, some of these questions are rather long-winded, but as we all know, it's fun to talk about saltwater tanks and going off on random tangents is really just part of the hobby when you truly love it. How many times a week (or day) do you feed a small to medium-sized rose bubble tip anemone? And what types of food do you feed it?

Clownfish Coloring?

by Psalm104:24-25 on 04-22-2011 at 09:17 PM
My clownfish is turning darker in color on the top half of her body. Any ideas? Had her for four years. The only thing that's changed is that she's recently chosen my toadstool mushroom to host. I've heard of corals "stinging" fish but I wasn't sure if this was really the cause.

Starfish Question

by Psalm104:24-25 on 03-08-2011 at 09:29 AM
Has anyone ever cut their starfish to create more starfish? I have a serpent starin my 75 gallon and I'm about to move everything over to a 180 bowfront. I don't know if I could actually bring myself to "cutting" my starfish (on purpose), but the money-saving idea came to me since I know that Echinoderms have regenerative capabilities. Just wondering if anybody had tried, or considered this method of obtaining more starfish for your tank.
