Does any one have any ideas how to waterproof the inside of my wood tank stand? I was planning on using something called STARCO PERMA-SEAL Flexible Elastomer Coating.

Hey Guys and Gals,
I was wondering if black or clear silicone goes bad after a certain amount of time. I bought a brand new 120gal Oceanic Ultimate Series RR tank with black silicone. The store had the tank for a few years but never filled it with water. My question is if the tank was never filled and stored in an aquarium store for a certain time period, will the silicone go bad? I've also read pros and cons for black silicone and clear. Is one better then the other?
Thanks

I have a 5 foot delivery head on a 120 gallon tank with 2 mega overflows (Oceanic Ultimate Series), which are rated at 600gph each. I found a blurb on Marc's site that I should have a return gph pump of 3x to 5x the display tank. The Eheim 1260 has a 635 gph rating but at 5 feet of delivery head it brings it down to about 400gph. This makes it about 3.33x the display tank. But
