My boss brought me back 2 water bottles full of sand and water from Daytona to start my tank with there's lots of life in them (lots of critters in shells)
my question is .. IS this a good idea and what are the dangers?
thanks g
Hello,
I think Ive decided to go with a Marineland tank I got a quote from one of my LFS for a 90gal 48x18x24 and a 75gal 48x18x20. I still haven't decided on what one I'm going to get yet. I asked the guy if I could get starphire glass on the front and sides and that they didn't do that, Well I thought to myself Ive seen other people post that they had a Marineland tank with starphire I thought Melevs was that way as well, So I emailed them to see if it was still possible. (I hope so but
So I got a used 75gallon acrylic tank that didn't work out (Hey it could be worse!!) I got other goodies that all work so I'm still good with it. I now find myself in the market as it were, And Ive been looking around and I'm going glass. Glasscages.com was the main place I was looking (unless anyone has a better suggestion) The 2 tanks I was looking at were a 65gal 48x18x17tall base price 149$ with Starphire an 3 sides, overflow, cover for overflow (35$ do I need this?) and bulkheads (30$ can I

So after I drained my tank from the bulging ordeal I decided to really go over the tank, Boy was I really disappointed! I noticed little cracks around where the front and side panel met the bracing. I really never noticed
So this is the stand I built I wanted it open enough to pull the sump out from the front the other section will be for electrical and a drower at the to if there is enough room also might put one in on top of sump section
