well after a few months i finally got my new pump installed. i have a 110g tall dt, 45g refugium, 50g sump. i drilled my dt for a sort of closed loop, with 4 returns. but i only drilled 2-1 1/2" drains. so running the bean drains with 1 full siphon, and 1 emergency i can't really have a closed loop, so i have to run it through the sump. the dart i originally bought on the advise of a local dealer wasn't enough to pump upstairs. he wouldn't take the pump back for exchange even though it
well it's been a long few months now. first i wanted to move my sump to the basement, both for a larger one, and to take advantage in the cooling, and also to set up a real refugium. so in sept, while working insane hours i started. i get most of the plumbing done except for a few parts that i didn't have time to get. my town isn't well known for having salt stuff, and the only place that sells plumbing parts that i needed was only open when i was working. i still had my small sump running
well we got a surprise today. 3' or snow today, added to the 6" from yesterday. and another 6" every day this week. my whole town shut down. and unfortunately i work around 45 minutes away, through the worst part of the snow belt.
was a great ride this morning in a 41 year old pick up truck. found out my defrost leaks alot of air behind the dash, my engine puts out too much horse power for winter driving? and pucker factor doesn't help you stop in the middle of nowhere when
hi all. i have a 29g sump and it runs fine. but my new pump will handle more flow so i want to upgrade.lol i have a 55g with a cracked center brace that i can use. i have the wife's permission to set it up downstairs and plumb it to my tank. the 29 has a ref, skimmer and return section. i was thinking to still use it, just as a skimmer and ref, then drain the water into the 55, half to the return section and half to another ref. the pump is the snapper hybrid, so will do around 1800g at 10'.
hi all. i need to find a quieter return pump before the wife flips out. i'm running the little giant and it's a little less flow than i want, and way too loud. i can go to 1.5" intake. i'm looking for something that'll flow around 1700-2000 gph.
the snapper would be good but i would have to reduce the intake a bit. any ideas? panworld 200, gen x pcx-150.
thanks
