Added my Helfrichi today! I was expecting him to hide immediately and not come out for a while... which was not the case. He hovered in the middle of the water column and all of the resident fish came up one by one to greet and check him out. Male maroon touched nose to nose for a few seconds and I think they will be best of friends. No aggression to speak of which is awesome. When I first added the Mystery Wrasse, everyone picked on him for a few days so I'm really glad with how things turned out.

Yesterday I changed out the GAC and GFO, cleaned the skimmer head and vortech, and tomorrow I'll be doing a small water change with reef crystals (been using regular IO).

I have my camera charging while I leave the lights off a bit to subdue the fish while Helfrichi gets accustomed. When I feed I'll try to get some shots of the beautiful new fish.

His name is Bill Murray.

    I'm so jealous. I've seen Helfricis once in person, and have been wishing for a pair for years. Congrats on your addition, and its very awesome name. I do hope you post photos.

    My camera has digital zoom, not optical zoom so they are kind of blurry. If i move close they hide.

    Thanks for the pics. I was just checking back to see if you got around to posting them. I love this fish and hope to have a pair in my new 60.... Its going to cost me a pretty penny though. Totally worth it in my opinion.

    He died today. Was feeding well, everything loved him. He went from happy and eating, to lathargic, then dead all in a matter of 5 hours.

    Extremely disappointed and disgusted. I dont want to look at my tanks for the rest of my life.

    The only thing I could see upon inspection was his anus was extruded ever so slightly. Almost unnoticeable. I have a 14 day guarantee, but I dont want another to die for no reason. I'm going to have nightmares.
