Operation wave box

Over the past few years I have played with many different types of flow for my tank ranging from a few Korillia powerheads to inductors and Tunze streams. More recently I decided to run a tunze stream with a aqua surf that hooked into my Aqua controller jr. Although this made nice flow patterns it just didn't seem to be worth all of the money I had put into the setup. So from then I decided it was time to make the jump to the wavebox or the Votech pumps. The problem I had was the price I mean I just put about $400 into used equipment and was going to have to spend another $500 to $600 for a wavebox so instead I though whats a wave box really its a timer a power head and a box. Well I already had the power head and the timer so off to walmart I went. Once there I found a Tupperware breadbox for $3. I brought it home drilled a hold then used a few zip tied to put a mag float on it for a magnet mount and then screwed the top into my canopy. I still need to paint it black but I will let you see the video and tell me what you think. The main key for making this work is the timer. I had a multi controler that would not dial in properly. The aquasurf has an extreme amount of adjustment and much easier than the normal tunze stuff. The video provided is only at 50% power.
