Ok here we go.
Step one get yourself a container with screw on lid,, a 2 liter coke bottle will work to.
step 2. clean completely of labels and residue.
Step 3. Drill a hole in center of lid measuring 3/4 inch
Step 4 Pick up a Hose Barb from Home depot measuring 1/2 barb with 3/4 in male adapter
Step 5. Drill holes of 1/8 inch around the hose barb.
Step 6 Get yourself a little Maxi jet 90 pump.
Step 7 obtain hose washer from the garden department at Home depot and attach it to the male end of the Hose barb.
Step 8. Screw the Hose barb into the hole you just drilled, You may have to adjust the hole some by razor blade to thin the lid some so the threads can attach well.
Step 9. Attach the 1/2 clear tube to the pump and the hose barb.
Step 10. Take sedimant material like fine filter mat and line the lid before screwing it on.
There ya go , you have a filter to use for Phosphate removal or Charcoal.
