Hey Hat the tank is lookin good, can't wait until I can start posting some full tank shots ................ with something in the tank ...LOL.
Thanks Jaxom!! I can't wait till you can too. ;-)
Here you go.
Nice Phil! So what type of SPS are you going to try? ;-)
Actually I'm thinking of taking the easy way out, getting a Monti, a birdsnest and an Acro and just seeing which does the best, then getting more colors of the same.
Phil, Monti's would grow fast and pretty under the lights you have. Under my lights Acros stay healthy but grow slow and I'm not sure about birdsnest. You can get a colony of Acro from BlueZoos or such and you wouldn't have to wait and they will stay healthy and grow. Monti, you could get a small frag and it would grow real fast. Is it real expensive to mail frags to Alaska? Who knows? I can give you one of my frags Phil if it wouldn't cost much. And, how do you pack it safely for the coral? ;-)
Hat, I usually watch for whoever has free shipping deals going on and try to combine the order with another reefer in the office. I actually have one tiny piece of monti that survived from this spring, It's little more than a fuzzy patch of rock less than a 1/4" right now, but my fingers are crossed.
so what if you cant fit the whole tank in one shot?
buy a bigger camera.
Steven, just take a left and right side picture. That would be fine. ;-)
Here it is not much has changed in the last month...the wife has been sick for the last month so I was on kid duty for most of my free time http://www.reefaddicts.com/attachmen...achmentid=2848 Hat---your tank is looking great love the red montipora alaska phil--your tang looks so happy like the lay out of the tank
Thanks Cruelle, I like the island on the left side of yours. I was kind of shooting for a valley layout in mine, but it flattened out since I didn't want to stack rocks up against the glass.
Thanks Cruelle, yeah the Monti is really growing nicely. Hope ya wife is feeling better. Your tank is looking awesome as usual! I love how to aquascaped your tank too! I added some more dry and live rock in the last two months. I needed more rock bad since upgrading to the larger tank. ;-)
Here is my little desktop distraction: 2.5 Gal, PAR 38, MP10 I am slowly transitioning to SPS only. Sorry for the pictures, I can not take good ones under LED!
Stevo, I love your pico tank. I have been tinking of putting one in my office, but then i wouldn't get any thing done. ;-p. I see growth on that SPS; did it grow like that under the LEDs? Can you tell me a little more about the lights you have? Was it a DIY or store bought lighing system. The tank looks very nice! Thanks for sharing ;-)
Come on REEF ADDICTS let's see your FTS for the month!!!
It isn't much, but it IS what I see daily.
Stevo, nice looking pico tank. Is that a 10 gal or 5? That MP10 looks huge! I had a 20 long for a few years and it was the most facinating take I've ever had.
My FTS would be of a bunch of dead corals so I won't bother. I've recently lost over 90% of my corals so 2010 has been a very bad year for my reef!
Oh no!!! I'm so sorry to hear that. What happened?
