My 55 gallon tank, shortened version thanks to IE.

So I had this long, drawn out tank entry for my reef, but moments from posting Internet Explorer decides to crash and wipe out the whole thing. Here's the short replay: I got a 12g aquapod after being out of the hobby for a while, and upgraded it to a 55 gallon tank where I built the stand and canopy myself. After many trades and upgrades it has gone from hang on everything to a sump with a fuge, proper skimmer, and reefkeeper lite controller. It is now a mix of sps, lps and zoas but I'm going to stick to sps, acans and chalices from here out unless I find zoas I love for trade. I had a huge issue last year with everything losing color and polyp extension, and I lost some of my sps. It was so slow that I barely noticed until my tank was full of dull coral and hair algae. I changed my habits and now have better (but not great yet) polyp extension and my sps are coloring up again. My LPS and zoas were not affected. I had low alk and ph, and have been taking steps to correct them along with changing feeding and water change habits. Here is my build thread from talking reef, where I started with spare parts in the garage and turned them into my stand: http://www.talkingreef.com/forums/me...f-project.html
Fish: ocellaris, misbar perc, sixline, royal gramma, green chromis, green clown goby, lawnmower blenny, small yellow belly hippo tang that I got to force myself to get a bigger tank before too long. Here are recent pics, except for the first one. I screwed up white balance and so the color isn't quite right:
