I will be trying Solid Carbon dosing with Vertex Bio Pellets.

    I hope it works out for you. What are your current nitrate and phosphate readings?

    My Nitrate is undetecable and my P04 is .01

    I currently run a Sulfur denitrater I want to convert to a calcium reactor. I also run a small amount of Zeovit in a reactor..my no3 is less than .05 and not sure of my phospates, Just got a new test kit and have not tested yet.

    I love carbon. It makes your water soooo clear and nice. Why did you ever NOT do it?

    His numbers never go up. He's even got a continuous water change system in place.

    Does Jessy know this is not the black carbon (water purification), but a vodka (carbon dosing) substitute ?

    Thats not true! I dont really see the Nitrate because I dont test it that often but I do see P04 rise now and then. My P04 went very high when I stopped Zeovit but now that Im running GFO its better again.
