Nice! Glad to see someone getting some use out of that article already! Just a suggestion you may want to "remove noise" from some of your pictures as well.

i don't have the noise ninja and the remove noise filter didn't doo too terribly much to it =(

With your next set of pictures, try lowering the ISO setting. Your images will be less grainy that way.

although i'm not sure how much it will help with a cheap canon powershot a430

ISO is the film speed. The higher the number, the more light you let into the lens but the trade off is grainy images. For non-moving corals and critters, you can shoot at 100 to 200 ISO. For fish, 800. You will get a feel for this as you take more pictures.

And there is an add-on for Photoshop to remove grain. I've used the free version for some images, but not enough to justify purchasing it.

Yeah the canon is pretty rough on noise. Marc, it won't do much good to lower the ISO...its tough on that camera. The sensor quality is subpar

what is the neo zeo method and aquavitro products? Could you explain them? What they do? Also, how you use them?

The aquavitro products are highy concentrated versions of normal seachem supplements. I have a friend who is a platinum certified seachem expert and he recommended them to me.

The neo zeo method is a low nutrient system. It uses zeolite's highly porous nature to grow giant bacteria colonies that consume all waste in the system. The added bonus of zeolite is that it also absorbs some inpurities.
