My dear brothers in money,because you have to blow a lot of it to have this hobby. I am sad to say that after 7 years of sweat,trial,tribulation,scares,blood tears and a whole in my wallet.My tank has died in the hands of my other expensive investment. My wife.There are no words that could express my sadness. You know the saying...."when a man is single he is not complete, But when he is married.....He is finished" I guess my blogging days are over for i am no longer a reefer<------- ooooohhhh the shameeee!!!!!

    Wow what can you state after that statement I think I would try to hold out for a 30 g nano or some thing. I won't get into the other alternatives. I was lucky to find a bride that is a master diver and loves the tank, hates the money it consumes but loves the tank.

    Sorry to hear that. I'm very fortunate, I tried to tell my wife that I wanted to cut back and proposed selling the freshwater planted tank in our living room. She told me she liked it too much, but really likes how bright the reef tank at my office is. I'm thinking the planted tank may get salted next winter.

    Good for you phil. I have to say that I have never had a fresh water tank and don't know the first thing about them other then I don't like them.

    I had to figure out how to get my wife's approval. She home schools our twin daughters, so I told her I would turn it into a science curriculum:-) She bought it...we'll not literally!
