When I got the new IceCap LED moonlights, it took me a while to come up with a way to secure them. It's important to me that the bulbs are well-secured; lighting that dangles loosely isn't something I can live with. The canopy over the top of my tank is removable, and there's no woodwork in place to screw them to. Here's the little clip that IceCap includes with the bulb. With a few tools and some aluminum U-track, I came up with a working plan.

I layed out how the 2' bulbs would be situated next to the track, and marked where each clip would be affixed.

After matching the drill bit size to the rivet's thickness, I drilled the six holes for the white retaining clips. The rivieting tool was a little too big to fit inside the white clip, so I bent them wide open to install them, one by one. They were bent back into shape so the LED bulb could be held securely.

Next I had to drill a few holes to secure the U-frame to the wall above the tank. In this next picture, you can see one of the clips already attached.

Using some stainless steel screws, the track was attached to the sheetrock and stud behind. I don't want these to fall into the tank, and didn't want to risk knocking them off the wall when removing and replacing the Lumenbright pendants during their regular cleanings.

In this picture, you can see the LED moonlights. The VHO bulbs were removed during the install for easier access.

And how it looks from inside the fishroom, once everything was put back in place.
