Just a change of pace.

I did have something strange happen today. When I turned on the RO/DI system to make some drinking water, I quickly watched water shoot up and create a mist of water droplets everywhere. The strange part was that the unit was pressurized with the cold water feed on. I opened the valve on the output side, and that caused an old fitting to crack and leak. You'd think it would have burst in the OFF position, normally. I did some repairwork and the system is good to go once more. This was a prototype of the 150gpd system I sell, which has since had a few tweaks to change how it is assembled. I pretty much changed all the old stuff to match the system I sell, which is a good thing for when people come over: I can then show them a demo and it matches what they would be getting.

Above is the fitting that cracked, sending a mist of water in all directions. Below, it's all rebuilt and back in business. I noticed it's time to change the prefilters again.
