Below are photo's of the side panel parts and assembled side panel. Since this a hex tank the angle just didn't look right so i decided to add a column or the appearence of one. the parts at the left and right of the photo accomplish this when the side panels meet. They are also cut to make room for a recessed insert. I relied heavily on a router table for this build. I am by no means an expert at woodwork. This is my first attempt at something this major. Also all rail surfaces have a slant down toward the tank. The top rail at the bottom and the bottom rail at the top. Also the top rail dosen't go to the top of the assembly. This was to add a vent for the space where the LED's and electronics are kept in the canopy. This was the only thing that I could come up with that was not intrusive in the overall look of the canopy. All of the side panels are the same except for the way the door is mounted. Also the back has no door and no bottom rail. It also has jack plates for power and signal lines for the LED's and electronics inside the canopy.
