Blood Shrimp

When I added the Golden Dwarf Eels to the 60g cube, I noticed how the Peppermint shrimp were far more shy than ever before, and they were big guys. Since they were tearing up stuff more often than not, that timidness was a perk. Within weeks, I noticed I rarely saw them at all. And another two weeks later, they were gone. No trace of them, and I surmise they were delicious.
The Blood shrimp, typically shy but visible on occasion - it seemed to hold its own though. I had a feeling that this shrimp may be accepted by the eels like a Skunk Cleaner shrimp would, as eels in nature often have their mouths picked clean by those guys. I've seen photographs and video, and thought maybe the Blood shrimp would be in the same class.
While I don't have a picture of it - yet - I did see that shrimp cleaning the mouth of the smaller eel without resistance or fuss. How cool is that?! I'll keep watching for opportunities to get this on film and share it in a future blog.
