My cheato algae has all but dissapeared from my sump and I seem to have green slimey algae in my tank.could new Radions be causing algae growth? Nitrates near zero Phoshates less than .25. Any ideas?
What kind of lights do you have over the cheato?
We've got a small compact florescent over the sump
What wattage and color temperature and how old is it
Green slime algae as in green cyano bacteria? It can bloom this time of year. Lots of sunlight, less shade due to the leaves falling off the trees...
This stuff looks like cyano algae but its on the rocks in long strands. Its picking up littlebubbles and hangs straight up
We are still trying to bring the po4 down as well. Would it hurt to treat it with chemiclean too???
Kitch, let's see a picture. That sounds a lot like Dinoflagellates.
I'll post a picture to facebook Marc. I have difficulties posting to this page.
Marc did you see the photo I posted?
I don't know if I did or didn't. I was out of town and not on facebook much lately.
Any thoughts on getting rid of dinoflagelates???
