I let the tank run for about 5 days and didn't see anything being picking up on the tests, at the LFS.
So I decided to pick up some fish..
A Little Cherub Angelfish, approx. 1.5" and a Yellow Watchman Goby, approx. 1" and a Candy Cane Pistol Shrimp.

The first night the Cherub found a hiding spot and went to sleep. Nothing to worry about there.

But the Yellow Watchman constantly tried to jump. Thankfully the tank came with a glass cover and he was not able to escape, but he was getting tired out and ended up getting stuck in he over flow. I directed him to the last place I saw the pistol shrimp and he went about making a burrow.

The next day all seemed well. Both fish ate. I fed Mysis, which in this size tank, is extremely hard to dial in. More on that later.

The next morning I was not able to find the goby, come to find out that evening he was successful in carpet surfing when my dog found him...

The cherub was doing fine and ate again that night.

We went to the LFS again and talked to them about what happened, they said that gobies can do that sometimes and since he was so tiny, he might have been intimidated by the angel.

So my wife and I picked up a Black Ray Goby that was in a community tank and looked nice.

What do you know, he wanted to jump too! I checked in on the angel, she was doing well so I thought maybe the goby needed some space or to get more comfy with the situation.

I took a little tupperware container and drilled a bunch of holes in it, placed the goby and some rubble in it and put the top back on.



The next morning, yesterday, I got home and he seemed just fine. Hiding under the rock, not breathing heavy.


However, now the angel was freaking out and hiding and breathing hard. I shut off of the phead and the angel then tried to get out.

I called the LFS and bagged both fish up and brought them back.

They tested my water and came up with some nitrates and nitrites. It seems as though the tank hit it's cycle finally, or the feeding made some spike happen. The pistol shrimp is doing well though.

Now it's back to the drawing board. The LFS said that they will hold the fish until things settle down and it becomes more mature.

It looks like there is some algae growing on the LR, this weekend I am picking up a CUC at my local swap.
