I love my anemones, so much so that I'm setting up their own tank soon. Here's a close up look at their beauty.
What size tank is this going to be? Didn't you have one already?
They are in my reef, currently housed in a 215g waiting for the 400g to arrive. They will be going into a 60g cube next to the big tank, so they can do their thing without stinging my pretty SPS corals any longer.
Can't wait to see it finished.
I hope to make a run for all the cherry wood in two weeks. I want to get enough to do all the woodwork around the big reef as well as build a stand for the 60g. The weather is finally starting to warm up and with it my motivation to get more stuff done that has been pending for a long time. Of course, I need the 400g too.
Beautiful anemone pics. And beautiful anemones, of course :-) . What are the parameters (ISO, apperture and exposure) on those pics?
ISO 800, f/4.0 shot at 1/125 sec using a 105mm f/2.8 macro lens.
I'm looking into setting up an anemone (and pair of clownfish) only tank (no corals) in my office. Approx 30 gallon cube plus sump. What do you plan on using for flow and filtration for your anemone only tank?
I'm going to tie the 60g into my 400g's setup, so the filtration will be handled by the skimmer, dosed by the reactors, and topped off automatically. I'm going to use a Vortech pump for flow, Radion for light, and feed it nightly with frozen food just like the main reef. I'm thinking with the clowns in the 60g, I might get my hands on the eggs for once, and try to raise some fry this year.
