I lost my Green monti. Which grew up in my tank and was life and beauti of my tank.
Unfortunately two months before it got attacked by Monti eating Nudies the most nesty pest . .... I was able to save Red Digitata, Red Cap monti and some baby colony of Green Monties. I kept them is QT until they have no sign of Nudies and eggs and recently moved to DT. Lamarck Angel has made it's roll very helpful. I notice Lamarck Angel was spending most of it time under monties and finding fresh meety food..
I will post here the whole life of my Green monti...

So guys......
its time to move my beautiful tank to another place. . I am going to move my thank to my new house. Its just 20 minutes drive from my old place.
I made some planning .I think things will be got done. Any suggestion from you guys will be highly appreciated and will help a lot to move thing in better way.
Arranged three 120L x 60W x 30Hcm tanks for corals and water in new place. I will drain water in two big 280 liters PVC tanks along with couples of 20 Litters gallons. all this will be filled and will move to new house. At the same time fishes and corals will move to new place.
I will fill three tanks will my existing tank water and place corals in it. Rocks will be placed in Sump and QT tank. all this will happen in first trip.
In second trip I will take tank, stand and lighting system.... I have asked some of my friends to assist me......
Let see what will happen.....
Any suggestion.
It's quite long man...... no update of my 300G.
How come...???????????
So here we go..... I made countless plan but at last the tank moved without any arrangement, without any new water collection and without any plan...
On 10th December a friend of mine "with NO knowledge of reef Aquarium" came and force me to move tank with his and some of his well known peoples help on same day. Initially I refused and said I will move it according my plan, which I already made. He is good speaker and convinced me to move tank by same day. he called four persons to come immediately to my house and bring one or two Suzuki carry for tank shifting. he bought two barrels for me on my expense , which I already arranged to borrow from one of my friend for free...
Any way film started....... ..... and we start moving thing around. first of all a person he was good in electricity, he start removing all electrical equipment, he done his job and two people moved hood without removing bulbs.... :envy: .... on the time when they were loading hood I found bulbs in the holders, so I thought before I cracked or something else happen I remove bulbs and keep in my car...... at last I found one 400W cracked....... :envy: ... losssssss 90$ .... No problem at least they are helping me to shifting the tank.....
Two guys started draining tank water in Barrels and canes, while one started to catch fishes....... The guy who was catching fishes, F****D up one of my Yellow Tang and one Scopas Tang. I realized when I saw them in the tank next morning.... Yellow tang Died, "Lossssss 120$ " the whole body was injured by the net.... scopas was very near to death but fortunately I was able to catch and put it in the sump.... Scopas recovered and doing well....
Same time I stand up on the small bucket and start taking "breaking" corals from the rocks and putting them it 3' x 1.5' Styrofoam boxes. I arranged three boxes couple of week before for shifting corals...... after that Rocks in the barrels, which were already filled with tank water.... The only benefit I got is rocks not exposed in air too long .....
I did not realized that what I was doing......... :envy: ..... anyway six person lifted tank and load in Carry with sump and some other stuff and moved to my new place.....
and other Suzuki Carry loaded by tank water, hood and Barrels....... Weee movedddd.... :|
Same people unloaded the tank and moved inside the house...... within four to five hours I refilled the tank with old water, placed rocks where ever I got the place, dump sand at the same time, placed corals where ever I got the place.... :| and started protein skimmer with circulation...... every thing was looking fine...... except the SPS I break from the rocks..... the coral which I collected from wild I return to the Sea to reduce Bioload... some of unwanted fishes I also through back to the sea.....
After all of that when I went for sleeping, I realized that my right hand big finger and thumb got swelled and was feeling pain.... I ate pain killer and slept..... Next morning my hand look like it's not with my body. A lot of pain .................. Long story short..... I ended up eating 8 days antibiotics.
From 19th of Last month until today I did not put my hand in side the tank.... LPS are doing fine..... SPS lost colors, turned brown, most of Zoanthids also lost it's colors............. You can say only 1% tank beauty remaining...... which is only live corals and some fishes......
AlHamdulillah I did not lost any single coral or fish because of moving tank..... Only lost one 400W bulb, one Yellow Tang.
From the very first day I start dosing MB7 to mature the tank. With in two week on daily dosing all SPS, LPS and Zoos are doing excellent........
I did not screw or fix any thing properly..... planning to make little modification in Tank, Stand and Lighting Hood. Stand and lighting will be wooden instead of Steel or Iron...... Designing new tank.... will show in my new thread..... depend on what you like.... If you ask me to run the same thread than I will do so or If you say new thread then It will be new thread.....
