So here we go,

It quite long and over due to post some update f my tank. You will really surprise what happened at the last..... so here is our journey of "My 300 Gallon Reef in Saudi Arabia".

Normally we do not care of tank over flow boxes, weather it's external or internal. What I realize that most of detritus and debris stay there for long time until it convert from one shape to another which is harmful for optimal water parameters.... by chance yesterday evening when I reached home from my office, inspection tank equipment "can say yearly inspection" found over flow was full of nest stuff....See how it was looking before and after cleaning....

I used some gears to make mission possible.....



Now see what was lying there...... this is 20% of the stuff there... My hands was totally dirty to take another shot....



Ahhhh Haaaaaa....... after cleaning...



So Mission Impossible ended up with mission possible..... Hope you guys will take care of your tanks Overflow after that....





Ordered some gadgets for automated two part dosing...... AS usual using worst courier service (Shop and Ship) by Aramex, Let see what will happen this time... .

Cap monti. I took this coral sometime in November 2009, 2" frag.....

Aqua take out your measuring tap, tell me the size of it....


Orange Digitata... if you remember how much big it was. 2" of two frags on september 2010.


It's new addition.... all white part in new growth... I glued green monti baby colony under red monti. I hope it will grow together and will mix up with beautiful shape.

I don't know what exactly color of this milli... If was dying in one of my friend's tank....., he wants to get rid of it. Know it's changing color from Brown to pink with green polyps.



Pink Stylopora coral, some of the branches been sting by Staghorn... i moved little bit away from it. Stagehorn sting is stronger than Stylopora and bird nest coral.... You can see Stagehorn branch left down of this shot...

Found this beautiful creature today...... still in quarantine..... It looks like Potter's Wrasse (Macropharyngodon geoffroyi), very near to Blue Star Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon bipartitus) , or may be Vrolik's Wrasse, Male (Halichoeres chrysotaenia).... bit confuse.... most important is "Is it Reef safe"

What was inside the box....


TDS Monitor..... It's doing funny.... already installed.. It was giving me 195ppm, later on ended up on TDS 31ppm....




If you guys remember, Last year I lost my fishes because of ICH..... so decided to make 33Gallon Quarantine tank. I got measurements just beside Sump. I can go 61cm Height x 61cm Length x 35cm width......

I ordered two yellow tangs and Midas blenny.... which are arriving on coming Thursday.... a day left, may be in the mid of the night.....

See Quarantine tank what I got yesterday evening from a vendor..... It will run totally separate with 300Gallon system. Got UV, Polario 15ML Turbine Dual Auction Aqua Pump 3,500 GPH, Weipro 2014 protein skimmer, Heaters.......

I will make little changes in existing drain from DT. I got four drain, three of it draining in the sump and one is feeding to my skimmer. What I will do One drain will feed quarantine "until new arrivals will on the spot" and will drain in existing sump.... i will post some pics once it get done....

Bubble Magus is doing great... Yesterday bought 10L of three gallons to make enough quantity of Calcium, Alk and Mg for long run...

UPDATE

Quarantine working perfect.... Plumbing completed.. circulation started.....Dilphon canister filter, Polario 15ML Turbine Dual Auction Aqua Pump 3,500 GPH, Weipro 2014 protein skimmer are installed and working perfectly. UV sterilizer and Heaters are remaining.......tell me you guys if need any thing to be changed....

Made little changes in Left side Over flow box Drain. I got two drain from each overflow box, so what I did is, take one to feed QT and adjust 7cm water level in QT.... from QT right front corner water is draining in the sump..... it will be totally disconnected once any new fish introduce in QT.

Same time I spend little more effort to install Bubble Magus Doser..... It made my life more easier......

UPDATE:

So here we go.... What I have done for new addition..

I got Hamster box and made hole in both sides and at the bottom for better water flow, and used some Epo Epoxy to joint power head suction cup bracket to keep at the bottom of the tank or the area where normally fishes like to swim.... Hope picture will help ..




Here is the guy after a month quarantine moved to DT for acclimation. first five days it stay at the water level.


After first five days I moved it at the middle of the tank with cover..... It stay there for one week....


After 12 days I opened it and leave it as it is until fish get out by itself.... in this time period I made heavy feeding with different kind of food.



Now the guy moved out and swimming with out knowing what has happen with him and his new tank mate..... 8)



The are behaving like they know each other before I introduce them in my DT......

I keep them in QT for very little time. they were very healthy...... for safety point of view I keep cleaner wrasse with them, in cause of white spot.... 8)

Here is the story. This guy is turning in to male.... I got four of these, two of them died last year... the remaining two hold both island for their territory..... from last four months one of them is start turning in male. The tail in turning orange yellowesh....
