Hey everyone post up here if you went to Macna and what was your thought on Macna also what was the best thing there and worse? Also favorite booth Reef Addicts of corse with that hot redhead running it!
Nice question! Hope to hear from some of you proud button-wearing members.
Yes I was a button whore! Lol
Well I'll start it was a blast I had a 3 day pass and was on the floor from open to close all 3 days! I talked to every vendor on the floor. I bought about 20 frags ranging mostly acans, clams and farvia. Also bought a 6g AIO ehiem tank with LED lighting very nice setup for the wife as a sea horse tank. Also purchased flip mag cleaner. Got a lot of freebies 15 shirts and hundreds of samples also thank you tropic marin guy for giving me a case of the nano water jug kits very nice idea for my new nano tank already used one and couldn't be happier! I didn't buy any raffle tickets as there wasn't really anything I wanted in the raffle that I don't already have. But I did win the marineland reef capable led light at the dinner Saturday night which I have already put to use on my sons tank. One thing that was nice was I talked to the Teco chiller rep and as I am a chiller repair tech I was able to pick up the USA market chiller repairs for them here at my home! Plus that good looking Italian girl at his booth was nice eye candy! Over all it was a very nice event planning on going to the next hopefully maybe I can get Marc to pay for my trip! Lol
I didn't get a button.
By the weekend I will have a full write up of my MACNA 2012 experience
Here's a tidbit only a very small handful know about: The driver that was sent to the airport to pick up M. Cousteau went alone, and when I asked him how he'd find our speaker, he said he was a huge fan of his. The flight arrived Saturday morning around 12:14 a.m. and the driver was standing there with a dry erase board bearing the speaker's name, but the driver recognized him instantly. When they met up, Jean-Michel looked at Steve (the driver) and said "I know you..." Turns out they dove together 20 years ago. Small Planet Ocean, n'est-ce pas?
sounds like you guys had a blast! wish i could have been a part. i would love to have a Reef Addicts button btw! if all of my funds weren't tied into my current build i would have so made a trip out. ill go for sure next year!

Technically Teal....but thank you. I'm flattered.
Hopefully I didn't miss any other colors!
This was my first MACNA and I was totally impressed by the show. I was amazed at the size and scope of the show. I talked to many vendors and I learned a lot from the speakers. My favorite thing was of course Mark's talk on sumps. I also talked with the director of engineering for Aquatic Illumination for about 45 minutes and I think they have a great product and that is the way I'm going for LEDs. Thanks to everyone at DFWMAS that made the show possible!
