Hello Hello my long lost friends! I've been gone so long I'm sure you're wondering what I've been up to! Well, in short, I've traveled to Italy, Portugal, Thailand, Laos, Atlanta, and Hawaii...lol So when I'm not gone I'm working to actually pay bills. Needless to say my tank has been on auto pilot for quite a while. I haven't added anything new into it for a bit. I've paid Chris from Lotsafishies here in San Diego to do a 50% water change (Jessy's not doing her own tank maintenance??!) once a month. I've got a few zoas and some mushies as well as a big leather in my tank. Nothing grows!! Chris came out and found out that the light I have is only putting out about 50-150 par so I think I just don't have enough light. I am investing in the tank a bit more this summer and hope to be able to enjoy it a little more before I go to Europe this November for a month.

I am getting a custom Evolution LED 150w light that I had made with 8 purple UV LED's. So I'm interested to see how (if at all) that helps the color/growth. I should get it in the mail this week! Very excited for that. Shortly after I'll go on a spending spree and stock the tank with something pretty to look at . In the meantime here is a pic of what the tank looks like today. I just had him add 10 snails because the rocks are getting over run with algae.
