Power Head Choice

I need to get new power heads for movement in my tank. I have a 75 Oceanic. I was planning on 2 power heads, what would your choice be for GPH? I am ranning a mag5 for a return pump.

Thanks

sorry for the spelling, I am running at mag5 return pump. I have live rock and and few soft corals at this time, the tank will remain a softie tank.

Ideally? Probably a pair of Vortec MP40's. However, if you don't have $900 to spend I'd go with a pair of the 800gph Koralias.

yeah id go with the mp40s or 2 mp10s or you could get by with a single mp40 and a mp10

Better to save for them them buy something now that will need replaced anyway. I started the reefing part of this hobby by being cheap, all it got for me was two skimmers that aren't half as good as the one I have now and four koralias that have failed after a year.

I had a 75 gallon tank and had 2 koralias Evo 1400's and one Koralia 2. Took awhile to face them where they didn't have too many dead spots. I would at least go with 2 Evo 1400s. They are about 60 bucks. Think about getting the Vortechs in the future though.

I'm currently saving for an MP40/MP10 combo for my 75. I think it's well worth the wait to refrain from getting my tank set up until I have the equipment I desire. So I guess I'm with Midnight.

I started 2 years ago cheap and have slowly upgraded almost ever piece of equipment that I have/had. I can tell you cheap isn't bad but it also isn't all that good. If you are just wanting something to get your tank up and running, cycling, and want to throw some cheap beginner corals in there though that wouldn't be a bad start.
