Moving in the next couple of months

Rate this Entry
Well unfortunately the Family and I have decided that we have to move into the city of Charlotte, NC. This will eliminate her just over an hour commute. That being said, I am going to have to tear down the tank and sell it to the highest bidder.

Fortunately I have never been happy with the current tank, and so it is with pleasure, a lot of begging, and a little whining, That I have just finalized the order for a new and improved tank.

Not one to try and reinvent the wheel, I stole the plans for another reef addicts tank and slightly modified them to fit my needs.

This tank is 72" x 30" x 30" which measures in right around 300 gallons

This tank is Starphire on three sides and black acrylic on the fourth. The tank will be in wall in the living room at the new house and two sides view able from the garage converted game room.

The next entry will include some drawings of the two rooms and an equipment list.

Until then c ya

I like that layout. Should be a really nice tank. Four drains instead of five, I see. I'd recommend a eurobrace across the overflow teeth area, which my tank doesn't have and may not need. It would just make me feel better. And a cover for the drain section, to keep algae out.

Nice!!! I'll be following along for sure.

I've not even finished my 75 and I'm getting that tank envy feeling again. ;-) Atleast I get to live my tank dreams vicariously through you guys' tanks.

I'll be making the cover to go over the over flow. It looks like on the drawing there is a eurobrace on the overflow end of the tank. Henry and Marc you are welcome to come out and personally supervise the setup.
