Last weekend, we took our visiting speaker Chris Schreiber (from the Georgia Aquarium) to the Dallas World Aquarium. He's been there before, but we never need an excuse to visit it again.
We got there one hour before it closed, and got to watch the sharks and rays eat. We went downstairs to the Shark Tunnel, and acrylic-covered hallway filled with excited people.
They weren't voracious eaters... it was more like snack time to them. Still fun to watch, but it wasn't very dramatic. Except for the Sawtooth Shark, who quickly whipped his saw-like snout back and forth like a crazed hedge-trimmer. The other fish stayed out of striking range.
I quickly snapped a picture of the Lord Howe tank because the Conspiculatus are fat and vivid, like usual. I counted five in this tank.
