Over the past several months I have been on the lookout for a Potter’s Leopard Wrasse (Macropharyngodon geoffroy). I very much enjoy the wrasse family and more specifically the various leopard wrasses. I have had good luck with my Blue Star Leopard Wrasses (Macropharyngodon bipartitus) and take that as a sign that my tank is hospitable for leopard wrasses. So, after looking at the local fish stores and reading each Diver’s Den Sneak Peek email for a couple months the Diver’s Den had one. I made sure to purchase the Potter’s Wrasse as soon as it was made available on the website.
I picked the fish up yesterday morning at the local Fed Ex facility. This is the second time I have ordered from Diver’s Den (the first time I got a pair of beaked leather jackets, Oxymonacanthus longirostris) and for the second time I am very happy with how Diver’s Den conditions and ships their fish.
The potter was out all day yesterday and ate, then retired to the sand bed for the night. Then again this morning he was out and eating.
Anyways, I snapped a couple pictures and took a quick video. I have the lights dimmed to allow the fish time to settle in so the image quality suffers a bit.
