Hi all, I know its been a long time since I've posted anything about my tank on here, so here it goes. I basically ignored my tank for about 4 months due to travel/work/laziness etc. I didn't do anything, dose, water change...just fed the fish once a day. So obviously my corals took a downturn. I lost my good acan colony and my big prism favia is on the rocks. Before RAP last weekend I did a 60-70% water change in hopes of bringing home things to not such a toxic environment.
I got a lot of coral and fish at RAP and I also got some chemicals to dose alk, ca, and Mg. So hopefully with one more water change of a decent size and a dosing regime I can recover the corals that are still on the edge.
I'm not super happy with the color of my lights. I don't know what to do quite yet. I don't know if adding more blue is going to solve my problem. I have a bunch of LED strip blue lights that I rotate sitting on the top of the top of the glass lid, but it doesn't really give me the healthy color I am looking for. We'll see. I may have to go back to T5's. Which since the winter is coming up may not be a bad thing considering I don't have a heater in my tank.
I'll post photos soon as soon as things settle in a bit and I figure out where I'm placing everything. Talk to you soon!
