Less than two months ago, my tank sitter's reef crashed. A RBTA was devoured by a vortech pump, and the nematocysts wiped out everything. He broke down the tank, cleaned everything out and waited for the cycle to finish. A week ago he told me that the water was testing perfectly, and a couple of test corals from the LFS were doing well, so I bagged up some corals from my reef to get him jump started. Some were small, others bigger. It helped both clear out some space in my reef and keep him happy.
Green Pavona, Orange blob (the Montipora capricornis filled that quart bag edge to edge), and a birdsnest
Gorgonian, another birdsnest, and branching pink hammer
Green Nepthea, Kryptonite Candycane
One of my plate babies - this one was 1" across before bagging it up.
Keeping your tank sitter happy is important. They watch your reef while you are away, and if they know they'll get corals out of your tank, they'll care more about "their" broodstock.
