Time for some upgrades.
After weeks of stretching the WAF to the limit with the the tank and afterwards with the sump in the middle of the way:
Wall unit was delivered
following day they came to assemble it
Inside space and ease of access was better than I expected.
At this stage I had to leave to the airport for a 3 days flight.
came back to the following completed. they had to stop at this stage as the side colsets and stand covers would interfere with the tank move.
Finally the day the tank goes up on the stand. Luckilly we had a great tool to help lift it up.
Aligning the tank with the stand.
And up it goes.
Once on the hydrolic table someone had to volunteer to go under it to jack it up!!!
At this stage one would think the worst is over, still as if I didn't have enough trouble with this build so far. While tunning the cabinets to have a perfect fit on the tank, the opening cover on the tank got tropped and hit on the tank to my bad luck.
Not sure if I should say tragedy happened or tragedy was just avoided:
Luckily it was only the top brace that was damaged and the front pannel was intact.
contacted teh builder and he should be in tomorrow to take it off and replace it.
The worst is that the plan to fill the tank on thursday will have to be postponed till end of next week to allow the silicon on the brace to cure. The Stand covers had to be redone as well so I'm left with this for a week or so.
On the bright side of things the builder came and inspected the tank and he decided to just fill the chipped glass with Silicone after sanding it as it did not affect the integrity of the tank according to him and the risk of chipping the front glass while taking the brace off was more risky. He did install a brace on top of the chipped one so that it will stop the chip from expanding but he assured me that this was only to satisfy my OCD and that there was no risk involved in leaving the tank as it was...
