Need to make new sump/skimmer fit!

So I decided to reward myself for (finally) getting my BBA by building me a reef tank. I had a tank for several years but due to frequent moves I had to take it down. I had purchased a 75 gal tank a while back, but it has sat in a back room for to long! I have been reading and searching for the best way to set up my tank for a while now and thought I had it figured out. I started building my stand with a plan, but I recently found a deal on a Lifereef LF1-150 that I couldn’t say no to.
My problem is that my stand is 49” wide, and the sump/skimmer setup is 54” wide. I am wondering what I can do as far as turning the pumps sideways and maybe stacking the return pump on top of the skimmer pump? Also, I am wondering about the condition of the pumps. I had my brother pick this up for me (it would have been a hour drive for me vs 15 mins for him) but he apparently didn’t look too close at them. I set everything up and gave it a nice long vinegar bath, and all ran smoothly, but the pumps have had a minor leak that created some buildup as seen on the pump, but they both ran smooth and quiet during the test.
I have not finished construction of the base, so if I need to make any changes I still can, but I really didn’t want a stand wider than the tank itself. Any input is greatly appreciated.
