Day 120: My reef turns four months old today

I was out all day and before I could take a few pictures, the Metal Halide on the right had already shut off. Regardless, here are a few pictures from today.











A few macros as well.













To summarize:

400g custom-made Starphire Glass tank from Marineland, 84" x 36" x 30" with eurobracing and an external overflow at the far left end.
Melev's Reef custom sump; Melev's Reef custom ATO water Reservoir
Powder coated steel stand with removable walkboard
Large Lumenbright reflectors house 250w and 400w XM bulbs; VHO Super Acintics, Icecap LED Moonlighting
MH lights run 6 hours per day, VHO 11 hours per day, moonlights 1 hour per day, refugium lights 8 hours per night.
Refugium lit with UniqueLED 6500K daylight for macro algae growth (reverse cycle)
Euroreef CS 12-3 with Skimmer Swabbie
Nextreef NP reactor
Lifereef Calcium Reactor
TLF Carbon reactor
Ecotech Marine Vortech MP60w ES & MP40w ES pumps for flow
Dual Dart pumps with Penductors
Aquacontroller 3 with Aquanotes on my iPhone 4
Tropic Eden Reeflakes sand
Sybon Reef Blend Salt

It's a mixed reef, feed multiple times a day with frozen or pellet food, and the occasional banana or nori offerings.
Water tested as need. Here are the stats for this year.

    BANANA?! DId I read that right?? Ummm, explanation, por favor? Sorry if I'm the only one who doesn't know about this, but I've never read/heard about putting banana in a tank...

    I eat bananas, and when they are ripe and my fish are begging, I'll pinch off about 3/4" of banana and mash it up in the water with my fingertips and my fish devour it. The Purple Tang loves it, and Spock is happy to gulp down the biggest pieces. The Anthias are also on hand. Overall, I'd have to say all the fish eat some.

    I was surprised by the banana as well! Any chance we can get an updated semi in-depth feeding article covering good feeding practices/foods for the 3 major categories (frozen, dry, people food)? I think it would be very informative and helpful! Thanks! Tank looks amazing, yours has inspired my own upgrade from a 55g reef to a 120 In-Wall with a fish room :P

    I would like to see how these pics compare to when the halides are on, 'cause the ones you posted here looks very nice. Curious, what bulbs are on and what white balance did you use on your camera?

    Only one MH bulb was off, which is the XM 250w 10,000K. The 400w 20,000K and the other 250w 10,000K were still on, as were the VHOs. My Nikon was set to Auto white balance.
