I tried this new food from marine depot that says color enhancing and my Hippo tang is is the brightest I have ever seen it you ant see it good in the picture but but it really pops from across the room.
talking about food. My columbian shark which I had in my previous freshwater tank eats about a full jar of formula one per month. I feed him the medium pellets because he doesn't even notice the other food.
I have been waiting for my green star polyp to transfer to the rock next to it forever but when I look back at pictures I can see it has grown a lot considering I have only had it for about 3 months here is a picture with my atinics.
\my other corals keeps getting algae on the tips.
for my sump I have about the same idea as a bubble tower except it goes all the way from front to back for biological filtration.
to hold the light over my refugium I cut out acrylic covers with a hole in the middle.
my ato system uses a coralife float switch and an aqua lifter. I did not have any room under my tank so I put a five gallon jug from wal-mart next to my tank. I put an airstone on the end of the intake to prevent any particle for getting in the aqua lifter.
my button polyps are growing fast
I had a dead coral but feather dusters were on the peg of it so I kept the peg and cut off the coral.
I installed my own lunar lights from some velcro and LED’s my dad got from work. I cut the end off a 12 volt transformer and wired it into the lights strips. I want to move the LED’s from the back of the light to the front inside of the canopy because I don't like the looks of the lights in the back of the tank I would rather have them shining on the front of the rocks.
