The 125 gallon tank (the future Bright Reef) has been cycling mildly, with the ammonia never going above 0.50 and the nitrites never exceeding 0,25 ppm. Yesterday the ammonia was barely measurable, and today we have none. Today the nitrite level is somewhere between 0,25 and 0 ppm, with nitrates at 5 ppm.
But last night, I found a snail, a tiny and very busy snail, zigzagging his way across the glass. I moved the rock around yesterday, fastening some together with zip ties, and that stirred the substrate up a bit. The thin film on the inside of the glass caught some of the finest particles, so we could see the snail's meandering trail this morning. He's still busy, and we also found another smaller snail on another part of the glass. This gives me more confidence in the water quality.

Salinity in the 125 is slightly lower than in the 20 gallon tank, so before we can move the critters to the larger tank, we have to make some chemistry adjustments. I would like them to be very close before we begin mixing water to acclimate the animals to the new tank.
