Refugium critter effect on display tank?

Those with experience having in-line refugium, please offer your thoughts. I have a refugium with miracle mud base plus few inches sand bed on top of that. Been running for three years. Content mainly consists of cheato macro algae, small pods, and quite a few of bristle worms... I've seen a you tube video of a cleanup crew farmer saying, small bristle worms of the kind in my refugium are good, just not a certain large type worm (forgot the name, 8+ inches long ... That's great.
So, I encourage via moonlight baiting, to have pods find there way out of fuge into return ramp (return flow) to ultimately enter the display tank.. Kind of an automated feed system. This means the rather significant population of bristle worms in the fuge is subject to the same transport. Is this a good thing? I had been taking bristle worms out of display tank when located and think that is fruitless and not exactly beneficial ..... What's everybody else doing in Reef Tank Community?
Thanks for the feedback ...
