I thought I saw on this site instructions on using silicon to make little footies for a a pump. Can't find it now and am at that point in my plumbing. Can someone help? Thx in advance.

just squirt some silicone in four equal globs on the bottom of your pump and set it on wax paper to dry/cure....wah lah!

I've been thinking about doing that with some of the base rock that I bought. Maybe I'm overly concerned, but pointy rock parts on glass seems like a bad combination.

Bright, Someone here mentioned to me to put down egg crate and then rock... Food for thought. I was happy I did, one of the smaller pieces of rock moved and it fell onto the egg crate and cracked a piece of it, but, no discernible damage to the tank at point of impact. Will see soon enough, Water fill operations commence today.
