Well, After breaking down my 120 gallon and cleaning it, painting it and other general maintenance. It's back on the stand in the living room, I awoke to find a cat "fish" already in the tank, See photo below . ( so, another wash and wipe...) Yesterday I acquired a 29 gallon long for use as my sump, ( maybe too big, but am running with it...) It was pretty dirty, 3 inches of Wally World Purple Gravel, deap plastic Plants with Blown Insulation into everything. and See before and after photos, I modeled the baffles and divider from a Marc Model f sump. ( Thanks for the info and photo's Marc - couldnt have done it without the info!!!!) The last baffle went in this am and will wait 48 hrs before filling as per instructions. I installed the 1" bulkhead into the Weir and have begun the plumbing operation. That goes with out saying, another trip to HD for a couple of mia parts. (1) so far...maybe more once I re-fit the sump into he bottom of the 120 gallon and see how everything lines up.
Question to the group, "Is it better to put in a Valve - Ball I believe from HD after a split of a Tee or past the Tee junction and further down the leg of the tee???". This Tee leg will run across the back of the sump and deposit into "fuge" on the right hand side of the sump. The down leg of the Tee will drop into the Skimmer section of the sump.
Thanks Aaron
