Hello all,
So I finnaly decided to set up a reef tank, Ive always wanted one.. So why not rite?.... Boy oh Boy!
So i started hunting craigs list (trying to save as much as I can!) And I found ..
75 gal acrylic tank with center over flow
Euro Reef skimmer w/pump
200w heater
2 Koralia 1s
250w MHB fixture w/ electronic ballast
2MHB bulbs (1 10k other not sure)
TLF Phosban reactor w/pump
all for 300$
I thought it was a good deal so I bought it. Everything works the tank has a few minor scratches, So I got a novus 1,2,3 polish kit to remedy that! I also got a 20gal long tank to make into a sump, Test kits and so dry rock from marco rocks as well as some sand.. Not enough but its a start. I still need to build a stand (have lumber) a hood and get a return pump. I know the Koralia 1s aren't enough and I'm not to keen on seeing them in the tank so now I'm seriously thinking about drilling some holes in the back of the tank for a closed loop. (Still unsure about how to go about that HELP!) But that's my start Ill try and post some pics and keep you up to date on my progress!
