Does your wife know you are cutting up the whole house to put in your new tank ?

I had kept a 10 gallon freshwater tank for about 3 years, and decided to get a larger one. My brother told me about how cool his saltwater tank was while he was in college 20 years ago, and I decided to look into it. Meanwhile, my wife told me that instead of keeping the fish tank on the counter in the kictchen, that I ought to get a new one and put it in the art niche about 10 feet away. This was a nice spot, but was very central to the house. It would have to be done well, as it would be on display for anyone and everyone to see. Searching the internet, I found that a hex shaped tank of about 34 gallons would fit in that spot. Most I saw were discontinued, but I found a used one on craiglist for sale in Baton Rouge. I paid the guy, and he shipped the acrylic SeaClear brand tank to me and it made it just fine. First problem ! It was a bit too big....
You can see that it overhangs in the front just slightly. Also, not much room for stuff behind it. Also, It had a single fluorescent can light above it, and the tank came with a pretty wussy fluorescent of its own.
