Slick, My sump was built by simply installing 3 baffles in a 20H aquarium in a bubble trap configuration. Since I'm not using it for a refugium it only has a main chamber and return. If you search you can see my blog about building and installing it titled "Sump thing happened". So far I'm very pleased with the 2 marineland pumps, one for the sump return and the other powering my algae scrubber. Both are still running reliably and silently. I'll be posting a blog about the scrubber soon too.
i saw your response to the article on the new marienland pump and you said you are going to be using it in your sump you are building where did you get your plans on how to build your sump and how did the pump work for you i like that you could control the flow on that pump i think i am deff going to buy it for my sump i plan on building hopefully sometime soon if i could find some kind of plans on how to build one any ideas? thanks
