Reef Savvy is a well-known aquarium building company out of Florida. They have organized a wonderful effort to raise money for research at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, timely for this time of year. And as a thank fior your generous contributions, you may possibly win a beautiful aquarium with a lot of nice inclusions.
Felix Bordon, owner of Reef Savvy, contacted a few other companies and secured some strong participation to sweeten the prize. First of all, his company is building a 24" x 24" x 20" 50-gallon aquarium with beveled glass and his new external Ghost Overflow. Global Oceanic Life donated a Vertex Omega 150 protein skimmer, which will go into a custom-made Synergy Reef System's sump. Fill the tank up with Marco Rock's CherryScape rock for the perfect aquascape. Control the tank with an Apex Jr, donated by SaltwaterAquairum.com. Add a bunch of corals donated by HighDefCorals, and feed the tank for a year with food donated by RoggersReefFood. If you need to work long hours or take a vacation, Neptune Systems donated their brand new Automatic Feeding System. Even the return pump is included, courtesy Reeftop Aquariums.
And the best part? The entire prize will be shipped to a local terminal in your town, assuming you live in the contiguous United States - for free.
Each $10 donation earns a raffle ticket for this setup. If you buy five, you'll get a bonus ticket. At the time of this writing, $8800 of the $10,000 goal has been met. Donations can be made via this link, and will be accepted until 5:00pm EST on Thanksgiving Day (Nov 28, 2013), and the winning name will be pulled at 6:00pm EST that same day.
