Short note to say that I've obseved one of my Mithrax crabs eating red bubble algae. I was having the impression the RBA was slowly reducing in the tank, but I wasn't 100% sure. A few nights ago I saw one of the crabs eating it (sorry, no pictures). But it must be quite nutritious for they are taking a lot longer to get rid of the RBA than they did with the GBA/valonias..... I'm not even sure they will one day eat them all, but I hope so... ;-) BTW, Galaxea ...
I recently found my alkalinity went to 6.1 dkh. I dosed within a few hours to bring to 7.1 in a 24 period. Will dose again to bring to 8.0 ish... So, I was cleaning the tank this morning and was saddened to see my Sally Light Foot Crab "belly up" on the bottom I know invertebrates are often sensitive to ph and alk swings.... Was concerned my Sally light foot crab would not find enough to eat Low and behold, she likes coralline algae Marc, I noticed you may have posted a frag pic of this few SPS coral I have in the tank. What do you call this coral? Is it a bonsai?
