When you neglect your tank, you get a dkH just over 6 , glad I got the old B-Ionic. Plan on BRS in the near future, possibly the drew's dosing pumps. Leaning more towards dosing, than Calc Reactor and other.
I would like to see what others opinions might be on using these bags for filtration. Any concerns on leeching? It seems they would be a lot easier to clean, and are cheaper too. I am looking at the 150 micron bags.

New test kits on order, ELOS kits at LFS are just too pricey. Since moving everything around I've changed the lighting schedule, albeit manually. 4 Bulbs come on at 9:30am, and I go home for lunch and turn on the other 4 at 12:55pm. Going to do this for this week as some of my SPS moved from midtank to less than an inch from the top. Still weighing my options when it comes to the lighting.

im sick of hair algea. i have a 55 gallon reef with mostly softies and a few sps, my water is very very clean no nitrate ammonia. no phosphates, nothing. but there is something fueling the hair algea in my tank. Everything is where its supposed to be. im thinking its the deep sand bed thats fueling it. pictures will follow.
