Well I have the baffles in and water flowing in the tank. I have to let the dust settle a bit before I do anything else. You can see it's quite cloudy. I have my cheep lighting on just so I can get a true measure of clarity. I've scrapped the in tank refgu. I'm going to use a 5g above the tank that I'll get to at a later date. I would like a skimmer recommendation. I need a new skimmer. I just set up a tank that is 150 to 200 total gallons. It will be a mixed reef and as of now I plan on feeding heavy to help growth. I also do not plan on many fish. I would like a good skimmer but dont want to break the bank. I just dont want junk. thanks.
I take it everone has seen the mesh mod (DIY NEDDLEWHEEL) for a pump to turn it into a skimmer pump, my question is if anyone knows a local place or a substitute for the mesh product to use on this mod. Also to get air to the pump do you just use airline tubbing on the intake of the pump and just let it hang out of the water or is it better to use an airpump?
