Well, Here I am on Reef Addicts. I ll start with a little about my setup Miracles 48x24 18 h tank. ATI sunpower 6x39 t5 eheim 1260 return pump geo reactor with np bio pellets Skimmer is a SRO 2000 int for the moment. Getting ready to build a bk mini style skimmer. Just ordered a Sicce psk 1000 pump to use as the skimmer pump. Same as a tunze hydrofoamer 9420. Should be pretty interesting. Thanks for having me ere as well. Mojo~
As I shared recently, I decided to treat my reef for Cyano with Chemi-Clean. It's been about 48 hours so far. To do so, I had to shut down the skimmer for 72 hours, and take the carbon reactor offline as well. That way the meds aren't taken out of the water too soon, which kill the cyano bacteria. Whilst this is going on, I noticed on Saturday morning that the tank was a little cloudy or hazy. Looking at one of the Bubble Tip Anemones (BTA), it looked like it had been spawning. ...
Now that I have all my new parts in, I took the time this evening to break down and clean the calcium reactor. The old pump was retired, which looked cooked for a lack of a better description. The plastic had discolored and looked like heat damage from within, and it rattled around the clock. The replacement Mag 7 was easily installed. The acrylic body was cleaned out, new Caribsea ARM was poured in, and all flexible tubing was cleaned or replaced. The pH probe got a vinegar bath. ...
I do not have an extra tank to put the fish in so, has anyone used ICH X? The company says that "invert" any filter feeder which includes most of the corals might have stress and that if severe stress on them because of adding the med do a 50% water change. Do y'all think I should do it? Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance!

Well, for the past couple weeks I have been battling cyano. I thought maybe I would update the situation as I am sure lots of people are dealing with the same thing. I started dosing Brightwell Aquatics MB7 every other day at about a half dosage, which is in reality only a 1/4 dose due to it being every other day. I have been seeing a big improvement. I am keeping my fingers crossed, but at least there is something positive to post. I will update again with more results.
