Hey Everyone So after many months and one move my aquarium needed some life. I purchased an Ocellaris and couple of days ago. He is still alive.. lol. No but he has been hanging out in the corner a lot and right at the top as well. I wondering if he is just still in shock.. he is captive bread and was in a tank with about 30 of them. But he seems streassed.. and his gills seem quite open. I tested all the regular parameters, and no trace of anything... is the water lacking ...

Hi everybody, first time posting here. After many tanks I finally decided that custom was the way to go. I called up my friends at P.F.I. (Plastic Fabricators), who are the same guys who build for http://www.aquatic2000.com/. I went with a 72x30x27 euro, 1" acrylic (front/back), 3/4" sides and bottom, built in over flow (one 2" drain, two 1" rtns). I also had them build me a steel stand (72x30x37). My tank a 240, has 4 250watt 20K MH Lights and 4 T-5 54Watt actinic lights. I am not really happy with the light from the actinics. I was thinking about putting in some LED's but I have my lights about 12 inches off the water. I like it this way it gives me lots of room. Will LED lighs work this high off the water? -Steven

I am completely baffled by the upwards creeping salinity levels in my 20 long nano. I have had it running for 3 years and over that period of time the specific gravity has always crept up. I use a properly calibrated refractometer, top off with RODI, and regularly change water. I've asked around and no one has any idea what could be happening. Anyone here ever experience this?
