  1. New door to the fishroom.

    by , 11-30-2011 at 07:17 PM (180g Tank Build - 11 mos. and counting.)
Almost done with the new entry way to the fishroom. Installed a pre-hung door, added some framing, sheet rocked, and taped and mudded it. Still need to texture, add trim, and paint - but I'm getting close. It's remarkable how quiet the rest of the basement has become. ...and less stinky.

  2. Remote Deep Sand Bed? Lets put this one to bed.

I call on the Saltwater Gods to come forth and enlighten me with knowledge. Haha.

So with winter starting to set in, and more than a few empty aquariums laying around I ask the remote deep sand bed question.

Good or bad, and how many of you reef aholics run them?

My nitrates stay in the 10-15ppm range.

    sump idea
So this is the idea i had for my sump I was thinking for the refugium i would use half with a 5inchsand bed and the other half just 1 inch.
the baffles after the skimmer i was planning for over under over.
Ill have the return pump and the heaters in the return zone which also will hold the bio reactor.
