  2. Time for Changes!

    Hello all! This is my first post here and I hope I'm doing this right. (not sure how the whole blog thing works) First off I have been in the hobby since 07'. I currently have a 125g mixed reef with a few corals, a blue tang, and a fire fish. I have not had the best luck since Ive started and am slowly upgrading my equipment and habits to make things easier. My latest addition is a bigger RO/DI unit and a FW/SW holding and mixing station, which has made my water changes a breeze. I hope to get some ...

  3. A few pictures from the Dallas World Aquarium

    Last weekend, we took our visiting speaker Chris Schreiber (from the Georgia Aquarium) to the Dallas World Aquarium. He's been there before, but we never need an excuse to visit it again.

    We got there one hour before it closed, and got to watch the sharks and rays eat. We went downstairs to the Shark Tunnel, and acrylic-covered hallway filled with excited people.

  5. the unofficial beginning

    Prologue

    I have been at this hobby for the past 8 years (coming up). I have had sucess to varying degrees, which magically corolate with overall interest (aka: Husbandry).

    I must admit I am cheapskate (to a certain degree). As well as an advocate for "why pay for something that I can do myself?"
