  2. Red Spot Cardinalfish

    In February, I got an order of these fish and two months later I still have them. They seem to be doing quite well, and eat well every night. I feed them some thawed Rod's Food.

  3. New fish - and how I react to issues

    I wanted to share something with y'all today, and hope you understand where it is coming from. Recently I picked up a Copperband butterfly fish, put it through acclimation & Safety Stop baths, and then placed it in the Peacemaker in my reef for three days to get used to its future friends. I fed this fish often, making sure it was eating, key to this particular fish's survival. CBBs are usually quite tough to keep, and starvation is probably one of the main reasons more of us don't succeed. ...

  5. Math and RO/DI water

    I use the 150gpd RO/DI system for all my water needs, both drinking water and RO/DI for my reef. Using it for maybe five years or more, you get used to how it operates. However, I recently had a customer with very high TDS reach out to me after buying one of my systems looking for a more efficient option because DI resin wasn't lasting long at all.
